A Home Tour Exclusive
This week I was fortunate to attend an exclusive tour of this beautiful Parade of Homes in the Glasscott neighborhood of Ross Bridge. The last time I shopped for a home, the amenities were not this extensive, I will highlight some of my favorite features and elements and urge you to take a look in person during the Parade of Homes this weekend.
Having the opportunity to slowly tour this brand new 2015 home was perfect timing for me. I have so many decisions to make before finishing our basement remodel, a fresh look at what is current in design was needed and appreciated.
Foyer and Staircase
The first floor of the home has hardwood floors and tile throughout but with an added unique feature as they defined the foyer space with a herringbone pattern with the hardwood absolutely LOVE it! With most two story homes, the first thing you do is walk right into the staircase, but this staircase is situated off to the side with a beautiful paneled wall with a clean linear design, it caught my eye immediately.
The great family room boasts a floor to ceiling brick fireplace, flanked by built-in cabinetry and a vaulted beamed ceiling. Amazing how it is still a warm and cozy room.
Commercial Grade JennAir appliances, custom trey ceiling, oversized island with breakfast bar, walk-in pantry with adjoining butler’s pantry are just a few features that we didn’t see while house hunting 9 years ago, kitchens have become the heart of the home for sure.
What I thought would be a quick stop in the laundry room was anything but, it was a shock and awe/envy fest. Starting with it being conveniently located off of the main level garage, it had custom mudroom lockers, full sink, cabinets, closet for hanging clothes, on the opposing side of the room a wall to wall desk with more cabinets and storage for homework, bills, etc. Craftsman window/door trim plus beautiful tile floors equals a laundry room you don’t mind hanging out in.

Master Bath and Closet
The beveled diamond glass window in the master bath is stunning providing enhanced privacy while saving you the expense of adding window coverings to your bathroom. With three different coordinating tiles in the dual head walk in shower, one of which is a perfect compliment to the diamond window glass, it’s clear that a great deal of thought was taken choosing every detail of this home.
Hallway flooring is a beautiful hardwood with plush carpet in the bedrooms and bonus rooms. Extensive crown molding throughout the entire floor is unlike most second stories where the millwork is very limited and hardwoods are seldom found.
With three bedrooms with full baths upstairs, care was taken with matching craftsman door casings, window and mirror trim, pocket door in bathroom, individual tile patterns in each shower/tub enclosure.

Stepping out onto the expansive porch it feels like another living space for your home. With tile flooring, warm wood ceiling, fireplace, flat screen t.v., built-in grill/kitchen and brick as far as the eye can see. They have added a stone water feature in the yard that I imagine will sound beautiful on a quiet evening.
My Favorite Ceiling Enhancements
Being a ceiling fanatic, I can’t help but highlight these creative ceilings giving each room it’s own personality.
