Doorknob Removal with No Visible Screws
While changing the doorknobs and hinges in the basement, I ran into some trouble removing the door knobs with no visible screws holding them together.
See that little button, it needs to be depressed with a small screwdriver or something, you can then pull on the handle and it will come off.
With a flat head screwdriver, find the indent in the face plate and slide it underneath and gently pull up around the perimeter. It may pop right off or it could be stubborn and make you talk nice to it. It will come off, I assure you.
AHA! There are the screws that need to be removed, these are screwed into the opposite side of your door knob.
Once unscrewed just pull those screws out
Almost done, just one more piece to unscrew. Keep your phillips screwdriver handy.
Last two screws to remove
TahDah!! That was really easy…
I’ve made a quick video so you can see how fast and easy it really is.
Hope you found the information helpful!
